Toria Tate, LCPC
Life can be hard, unfair, and hurtful at times. But at the end of any storm, there is always a rainbow. As a therapist, my job is to sit with you in the storm. One of the essential pieces to making a change is the relationship between the counselor and the client. In my practice, I work hard to create a safe and trusting environment where all clients feel comfortable sharing a piece of their life experiences with me. I have experience working with various mental health disorders and life concerns such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD, ADD, oppositional defiant disorder, relationship conflict, LGBTQIA+ issues, minority stress, and many more.
I work with children, teens, and adults of all backgrounds, assisting them individually, in groups, couples, and as families. My overall approach is client-centered therapy. However, I often use an eclectic form of treatment, integrating other modalities such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, and Expressive Therapy.
Seeking counseling can make one uncomfortable and vulnerable. My hope is that you see the strength it took to seek out this help. I also hope that you find that great things in life happen when we push ourselves out of our comfort zone.

I specialize working with children and young adults in therapy for self-esteem, anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and multicultural and identity concerns. I also focus on social, and family relationships. I use various evidence-based techniques and relational approaches, but I will always tailor therapy to fit who you are, what matters to you, and how you hope to grow. In therapy, I strive to authentically connect with you and ensure a therapeutic space that is safe and productive. Going at your pace, we work together to find solutions and move towards your goals.

I use a diverse mix of treatment modalities, including Client-Centered Therapy, CBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Narrative Therapy. I work with teens and adults dealing with Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, Life adjustments, and phobias.
