Adults
Hi! I’m Riley (they/she), an advanced clinical mental health student in the School of Social Work at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. With a background in Gender and Women’s Studies, I specialize in working with queer and gender-expansive adults.
My work focuses on supporting clients navigating trauma, identity exploration, and relationship challenges, especially those shaped by experiences of marginalization, coming out, or gender transition. I understand how systemic oppression and invalidation can impact self-worth, connection, and emotional safety, and I strive to create a space where you feel seen, affirmed, and understood.
I offer trauma-informed, affirming care that centers both your individual experiences and your relationships with others. My approach integrates strengths-based and liberation-oriented frameworks, drawing from internal family systems, attachment theory, art therapy, and motivational interviewing. I am also certified to instruct trauma-informed yoga, and I value incorporating mind–body practices when helpful to support grounding, regulation, and reconnection with the self. Together, we can explore identity, process past experiences, and build more secure, fulfilling relationships with yourself, your partners, and your community.
It’s an honor to support you in ways that feel authentic, collaborative, and empowering.
